Half panda

In this whisker-filled picture, captured by Devora at Haley & Colleen's Wild Animal Birthday Party, Timothy pulls a fabulous "half panda" pose:

Stay cute in this panda outfit

The only thing that would be better about this warm, fuzzy panda 'fit was if it came in human size so that Nicholas could actually model it, rather than simply hold it up. This can be obtained at Target.

Want to become a panda? Buy this hat.

Panda Man is either Alex Pardee or Skinner. Whoever is not Panda Man is Tiger Man. The two artists have a show, The Butcher Kings, up at Gallery 1988 in Melrose through October 29, 2011.

As seen on Laughing Squid.

Hello, panda

Believe it or not, pandas are not the only cute things on the planet, as the above photo of Chyler illustrates. He's modeling "Hello Panda" snacks, which look pretty tasty to me. As does that iced brownie. YUM! Now I'm hungry!

Thanks to Panda Correspondent Nicholas Wray for sending this in, by way of his sister, Candi.

Polaroid Panda

Panda blog co-founder Devora and I came across this Polaroid Panda during our adventures at the San Joaquin County Fair. I happened to have my Polaroid in my purse, so I recreated the panda's pose in real life.

Punch Me Panda

Nate Hill of Free Bouncy Ride fame also has a performance piece called Punch Me Panda which is a "man in panda mascot costume with chest protector who you are invited to punch to release frustration."

Punch Me Panda is available for house calls but he, along with Free Bouncy Ride and others in Nate Hill's repertoire will be making scheduled rounds of New York City this March. All performances are free!

Panda coffee adventure

My recent sojourn to the Bay included a trip to Ritual Coffee where their seasonal coffee was a panda blend:

Devora Panda not included with coffee purchase:

The blend's logo is also available in t-shirt form:

Panda in a Bag!

And, panda on a human! Reader and panda fan Bougrie (be sure to click this link as you'll be greeted with an adorable umbrella-holding panda) has submitted this fabulous photo:

If I were the Queen, I'd hold a baby panda too

And, if I were a baby panda, I'd be just as excited to meet a Queen.

Plenty more panda (and other adorable/awesome animal) photos in last week's Telegraph animal-picture round-up.

A Place Full of Pandas

If you're looking to stock up on panda supplies, Urban Outfitters is the place to go. All this swag was found there today.

Stacked tea cups with hidden panda (as modeled by Maria). For your jewelry or other doodads:

Panda socks to keep your feetsies warm:

Hugging panda salt and peppper shakers for all your spicing needs (this one with a poor, broken hugging-arm):

Panda key cover to differentiate between your house key and someplace way more awesome and full of pandas:

Cozy panda hat (as modeled by Alison):

"100 Facts About Pandas," conveniently placed next to the "Cats are Weird" book:

A glimpse inside, part 1 (poorly aligned photographically): "The incorrect classification of a panda as a nut is why Adolf Hitler, a committed vegetarian, would eat panda meat once a year...":

A glimpse inside, part 2 (not as poorly aligned photographically). Click to zoom in and to check out the photo of RAD OLD PEOPLE/PANDAS:

What's black & white & protested all over?

A panda rip-off, that's what!

From what I can garner from the text below the above (hah) photo on Flickr, an artist reappropriated the design from this "When Pandas Attack" Threadless T-shirt and displayed it without any sort of credit in a gallery show (as you can see in the background above). So, a group of people protested the act by showing up at the gallery en masse, wearing the original design (or an original panda suit, take your pick).

(The show seems to be rather panda-themed, in the whole--it's up at Gavin Brown's Enterprise in NYC, if you want to take a looksee.)
