Panda poo helps grow the most expensive tea ever
Okay, maybe not ever, but $200 per cup seems an awful lot to poor lil ol' me. Consumerist has the full scoop.
Thanks to Panda Correspondent Trevor for the tip.

Panda NYC

Did you know there's a venue in New York called Panda NYC? I didn't, but now I do. To completely quote their Welcome page:
"Panda is a European-style cafe/bar located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Organic coffee & teas, as well as, free wifi set the tone for the daytime and the lounge vibe kicks in with a fantastic happy hour on into the night. In addition, Panda features the work of new & emerging artists through a series of ever-changing exhibitions, installations and performances. Cozy, friendly, and vibrantly eclectic with a wonderful mix of locals and passers-by--Panda is proving to be a favorite destination for the coffee/laptoppers and the nightlifers. In short, Panda = great product, great service, and a great vibe in a great location."
Clearly I have a spot to check out next time I make it to New York City.

Panda coffee adventure
My recent sojourn to the Bay included a trip to Ritual Coffee where their seasonal coffee was a panda blend:

A Panda Beverage, Sneakily Spotted
Peter says:

"On a field trip to SF Chinatown with Nicky's class today. Her teacher didn't want kids to touch anything in the store, but I had to take this pic for you. Thus her cute nervous face :)"
Thanks for your intrepid panda-spotting, Peter and Nicky!
